Organizations interested in applying for a grant from the Chen Yet-Sen Family Foundation should first submit a Pre-Proposal Inquiry (PPI).
After the PPI is reviewed, selected organizations shall be invited to submit a Project or Program Funding Application (PFA). 'Project' funds are used for equipment and capital building expenditures, whereas a 'Program' is a direct service on a short term or ongoing basis that meets an identified community’s needs in a geographic area, for an aggregate group of people, or addresses a particular issue.
Advisory Committee Members of the Foundation meet twice a year to consider requests for funding at its May and November meetings. Applicants will be notified of the grant application decision within 1 month after the Advisory Committee meeting.
Organizations awarded with funds will enter into an agreement with the Foundation acknowledging their adherence to specific policies and procedures relating to the use of grant monies, progress and evaluation reports, and changes to the initial approved program submission.
